There is no doubt that the world's major car companies will be closely watching the North American market, the market for power batteries in the next few years will also "increase".

  However, the market has yet to produce a homegrown power battery player that can compete with the dominant Asian players. Against the backdrop of accelerating electrification of north American cars, power battery companies from China, Japan and South Korea have concentrated on the North American market this year.

  In particular, Korean and Korean battery companies including LG New Energy, Panasonic Battery, SK ON, and Samsung SDI are focusing on North America for future investment in 2022.

In December last year, Guoxuan Won an order from a listed CAR company in the United States to supply the company with at least 200GWh of power batteries over the next six years. According to Guoxuan, the two companies plan to produce and supply lithium iron phosphate batteries locally in the United States and jointly explore the possibility of forming a joint venture in the future.

  Unlike the other two, which are still under consideration in North America, Vision Power has already decided to build a second power battery plant in the United States. Vision Power has entered into a partnership with Mercedes-Benz to supply power batteries for the EQS and EQE, Mercedes' next generation luxury pure electric SUV models. Vision Dynamics said it will build a new digital zero-carbon power battery plant in the United States that it plans to mass-produce in 2025. This will be vision Power's second battery plant in the United States.

  Based on the forecast of the future demand for power and energy storage batteries, the planned capacity of batteries in the local market of China has exceeded 3000GWh at present, and the local and foreign battery enterprises in Europe have mushroomed and grown rapidly, and the planned capacity of batteries has also exceeded 1000GWh. Relatively speaking, the North American market is still in the early stage of layout. Only a few battery companies from Japan and South Korea have made active plans. In the next few years, it is expected that more battery companies from other regions and even local battery companies will gradually land.
